Attack on Titan: Junior High is a parody comedy series of Hajime Isayama’s Attack on Titan. It was written and illustrated by Saki Nakagawa. The manga was published in Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine from April 2012 to July 2016 and made its anime television series debut in October 2015.

Their opening, “Youth is Like Fireworks”, sounds similar to Attack on Titan’s first opening “Crimson Bow and Arrow”. Both songs were written and performed by Linked Horizon which explains the similarities.

Youth is Like Firework feels like a tone-down version of the Attack on Titan’s first opening. The whole art style is a chibi-fied version of our beloved characters and the best part about this anime is that no one dies.

The parody is hilarious and takes plenty of references from the original anime. So if you’re a die-hard fan, we recommend you watch this anime and listen to its opening theme.
