The second season of “Tokyo Revengers” is back with success. The first episode, which premiered on Disney+ on January 8 this year, already boasted a key visual that introduced viewers to a new face. Tokyo Revengers tells the story of Budo Hanagaki, who discovers that the Tokyo Manjigumi gang has murdered his middle school sweetheart and her brother. After being pushed onto railroad tracks on his way home from work, Budo goes to the past 12 years ago and infiltrates the gang in order to save the lives of his friends.
Originally a manga series that ran from March 2017 to November 2022, “Tokyo Revengers” was adapted into an anime series by Reden Film, with the first season airing from April to September 2021. Due to its relatively short duration, only two more episodes remain in the anime adaptation after the release of Season 2, “Christmas Showdown.
